Welcome Honors Program Alumni!

From small classes with award-winning faculty and special interdisciplinary seminars to extensive, personalized advising and peer and faculty mentoring, the SAS Honors Program prepares students from more than 70 majors to become global change-makers.

Now in its sixth year, with dedicated Honors program housing and special residential programs, the Honors experience at Rutgers offers students the very best of a small liberal arts college and a modern research university.  The mission of the SAS Honors Program is to provide high-achieving students with unique opportunities to develop their intellectual and creative potential. An integral part of our mission is the relationship with our valued alumni. The SASHP actively seeks opportunities to engage alumni with current undergraduates. The Program appreciates opportunities to involve alumni interested in sharing their experiences and interests as mentors, speakers and guest lecturers.

The motto of the SAS Honors Program is:

Artes et scientiae floreant –
Let the arts and the sciences flourish.

The SASHP is committed to connecting Honors Program alumni with one another and incorporating them into the fabric of the SAS Honors Program.

A recent initiative by the SASHP is the creation of a chartered Honors Program alumni organization. The goal of the chartered program is to facilitate networking among alumni and to build opportunities around special interests, professional affiliations, recreational or cultural pursuits and service work.
