Peer Mentor Program
The School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program matches new SASHP students with current Student Mentors. Mentors volunteer as resources who are available to share information about everything from requirements to professors, to inform students where to get advice, and to generally be familiar faces at SASHP and university events. Mentors range in class year from sophomores to seniors, and majors from Art History to Molecular Biology. When possible, students are matched on the basis of possible major, career plans, and extracurricular interests. The participants determine the nature of the mentoring relationship: some meet only once or twice, and some form lasting friendships.
