Building Connections between honors faculty and students
The SAS Honors Faculty Mentor Program provides undergraduates with access to the university's best faculty on a one-on-one basis. All incoming students are asked if they would like to participate in the program, and may select a faculty member from the list of participating faculty below.
The professors who have agreed to serve as honors faculty mentors are deeply committed to helping our students take advantage of all that Rutgers has to offer, both inside and outside the classroom. They recognize that this year it is especially important for you to have a “faculty friend” who can help you get to know Rutgers. They look forward to meeting you, introducing you to other students and colleagues, and informing you about research and other opportunities at Rutgers and beyond.
The SASHP Faculty Mentor Program matches honors students and professors based on shared academic interests and career goals, or interests outside the classroom, such as a love of opera, or hiking. Whether or not your faculty mentor’s research interests exactly match yours, you will find that it benefits you to learn about their experience as scholars and professors at Rutgers.
