SASHP Students Claudia Santacruz and Rut Mehta Honored at Inaugural Rutgers Innovation Awards
Rutgers Office for Research celebrated the recipients of the first-ever Rutgers Innovation Awards (RIA), which recognize researchers who demonstrate excellence by developing a breakthrough idea, process, or technology with the potential to improve lives and create economic value. Winners were either self-nominated or nominated by their peers, and then reviewed by external experts. The event also celebrated current Rutgers inventors who were issued U.S. patents during the fiscal years 2023 and 2024 and the Office for Research's 2023-2024 Technology Transfer Trainees.
SASHP students Claudia Santacruz and Rut Mehta, along with their research team SageTech, received the Undergraduate Student Innovation Award.
