The Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences is pleased to invite rising juniors (class of 2022) to apply for the Lloyd C. Gardner Fellowship Program in Leadership and Social Policy.
The Gardner Fellowship focuses on issues of crucial contemporary significance and prepares students for lives of service and leadership. The Program provides 12-15 SAS juniors with a year-long opportunity to deepen their understanding of major global issues, develop strong leadership skills, and take a prominent role in addressing these issues.
Students participate in a two-semester course sequence including an intensive fall seminar featuring guest speakers (Fall 2020 topic: "Security and Sustainability") and a spring independent research project completed under the supervision of a Rutgers faculty mentor. Fellows also take trips to the United Nations and Washington, DC and are provided with scholarship aid and research support.
