David FoglesongProfessor David Foglesong is the author of two books: The American Mission and the “Evil Empire": The Crusade for a "Free Russia" Since 1881 (Cambridge University Press, 2007) and America's Secret War Against Bolshevism: U.S. Intervention in the Russian Civil War, 1917-1920 (The University of North Carolina Press, 1995). In collaboration with I. I. Kurilla and V. I. Zhuravleva, he is now completing America and Russia: From Distant Friends to Intimate Enemies (to be published by Cambridge University Press). His new research project focuses on how American and Soviet citizen diplomats contributed to the overcoming of enmity between the two nations in the 1980s.
