The Peer Mentor Programming Board is made up of a group of active Peer Mentor co-leaders. Applications are reviewed and board members are selected by the previous Programming Board. Beginning with the Peer Mentor & Mentee matching process and the summer Peer Mentor/Mentee kick off event, the programming board meet throughout the academic year to plan fun activities for the Peer Mentors & Mentees to enjoy together.

Peer Mentors & Mentees are encouraged to meet up and participate in many of the various Rutgers (and non-Rutgers) events and activities. The Programming Board also plans monthly activities for all mentors & mentees to meet up and enjoy together.

Peer Mentor Programming Board Expectations:

Serve as a co-leader of the Peer Mentor Program
Plan, market, and coordinate, at minimum, two Peer Mentor Events open to all Mentors & Mentees during each of the fall and spring semesters
Manage the Peer Mentor social media for one week during each of the fall and spring semesters
Assist with larger Peer Mentor Signature Events/Activities, such as the Summer Gathering in June and Passport to Student Success in October
Attend monthly Peer Mentor Programming Board meetings and select planning meetings throughout the semester on Friday afternoon

To apply, students must apply to be a Peer Mentor and check off their interest to serve on the PM Programming Board.

To be eligible, applicants must have previously been a member of the Peer Mentor Program (mentor or mentee) and be in good honors standing at the time of application.
